Fingers Crossed

Now that we are a month into the  2025  season, many teams are taking shape. I'm not alarmed, but the  Yankees  are starting to unravel under the pressure with fielding and need relief pitching. They have a good lineup but need a more solidified pitching staff. Good trades went into the  Yankees  offseason, that I hope this season is not a wash? Let's wait and see! The  Mets , on the other hand, are playing well — should I say Juan Soto? They have the pitching and the lineup to make a serious run in October. I know it's too early in the season to make such a prediction, but the way they are playing shows. Until then, see you at the park. — Joe Boesch

October in Mind

It's still way too early in the baseball season, so let's not get ahead of ourselves, but the Yankees are picking up where they left off last season of playing excellent baseball. Thanks to Aaron Judge, who has tied Babe Ruth's record of the most home runs in the first 1,000 games as a Yankee with 321. He's hitting home runs like moon shots guiding them to be successful — only the beginning, but they are playing with October in mind. With Juan Soto signing crosstown, it seems the Yankees haven't noticed or cared as they made amends putting up spectacular numbers in only two weeks into the season. The table is not set yet for the main course, but it sure looks like it will soon. Until then, see you at the park. — Joe Boesch
