Of Mice and Men

Yesterday the Giants could have been on their way to the Fall Classic, but the Phillies, who have been known to fight back, put that off for just one more day. Don't count the Phillies out yet as they are heading back to Philly and possibly another run at the World Series title. Sent from my Verizon Wireless BlackBerry

Panic Mode

Should we panic with the Yankees? They are not playing up to the level that they are capable of. Tonight's game will be the deciding factor. Until then, see ya at the playoffs. Sent from my Verizon Wireless BlackBerry

Phillie Mania

Roy Halladay showed what it takes to pitch in a playoff game by pitching a no-hitter. What a way to get the Phillies rolling on the right track. Reds beware, the Phillies are a force to be reckoned with. Until then, see ya at the park! Sent from my Verizon Wireless BlackBerry

It Begins

For every baseball fan, today begins the playoffs paving the way to the Fall Classic. The games played, we will find out who is the best and who goes home. Everyone is betting the Yankees will be the team, but don't discount the Rays, Twins and even the Braves. There are good times with big league talent. We just have to wait and see who comes to the plate and who doesn't. As they say, "buy a ticket, get into the game." Until then, see ya at the park. Sent from my Verizon Wireless BlackBerry

Time for Baseball

Not that there is all gloom and doom in New York with the Mets announcements yesterday of the firing of the GM Omar Minaya and manager Jerry Manuel, the Yankees on the other hand are in the playoffs and have a good chance of advancing to the World Series. Even though they won the Wild Card and not the division, never discount the Yankees. They are good and can change a game with one-swing of the bat. They have an exceptional line-up and good leadership on the team. So, there's reason to be excited for the playoffs and the New York Yankees. Until then, see ya at the playoffs. A New Era to Begin

Finally the pain and suffering has stopped for the New York Mets. The Wilpons have stepped in and made the moves that many have said needed to be done -- fire the manager and GM. With this latest chapter in the Mets storied -- sometimes uncharted -- history they will look for new ideas and a new chapter. Hopefully, they will look outside the organization for the right GM and manager. I also don't think that Wally Backman is the answer as manager. It will be the same circus that happened that past few years. The past few years of pain and agony for the die-hard Mets fan. Until then, see ya at Citifield.
